Hi, I am Kaela.

I am a multidisciplinary designer and user researcher in Brooklyn, NY. I believe in my role as a global citizen to consciously work to improve flawed systems and use my skills to design efficient, equitable tools.

I currently work at Propel where I focus my design and research efforts on Fresh EBT, a free mobile app for SNAP and TANF recipients across the U.S.

I’ve served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA at Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston, volunteered my design skills for Library for All, designed a social media marketing platform for small bloggers at Sverve, and got my 200-hr yoga teacher training.

Outside of Fresh EBT, I dedicate my time to traveling, volunteering as a Victim Services Advocate at Bellevue Hospital, organizing monthly womxn’s discussion groups, and cooking vegetarian meals for my friends.
